We Run Societies

Car parking in a Society by a Member who has leased his flat and is residing outside the Society premises.

17 May 2017 Edward Fernandes, Mumbai

A Member has leased out his flat to a lessee and the lessee has a vehicle whereby he parks in the attached parking slot of that particular flat. Our Society has covered parking slot for every flat to park the first vehicle. The second vehicle is to be parked in the open space for a nominal fee as decided by the Committee. So the question is, can the Member park his vehicle in the open space while he resides outside the Society premises because he has 2 vehicles?

    Dear Edward,

No, the member can't park his vehicle in the open space while he resides outside the society premises because he has 2 vehicles.

SIR, SHOULD A MEMBER SURRENDER HIS PARKING TO THE SOCIETY BEFORE LEASING THE FLAT ? CAN THE TENANT OCCUPY THE PARKING SLOT OF THE LANDLORD IN THE SAME HOUSING SOCIETY? ? IF ALLOWED HOW MUCH TO BE CHARGED (MAXIMUM PERCENTAGE) OF THE NOMINAL PARKING CHARGES ?
