Eligibility of becoming an Office Bearer of Society's Managing Committee

Can a Society Member be eligible to be elected as an Office Bearer of the Managing Committee even he/she is not residing in the Society premises and has rented out his flat to someone else ?

    Yes, he/ she is eligible to be elected as an Office Bearer of managing committee in above mentioned conditions.

    He is eligible but I found that this kind of member is not effective to dispense his duties being in a committee. For example: Water problems, catching hold of right people who are in the society area from the builder or the society side etc. This rule need to be revisited and changed.

    As every member of the Society to contest election . The members who have rented their flats can also contest the election though they are not residing in the building premises. Now regarding to look after the problems he can solve the problems and if he did not capable then it is duty of members to elect the member who is efficient. no need to change the law.
