Rights of Associate Member after death of flat owner

What are the rights of an associate member (not owner) after the death of the owner of the flat? If the flat has 2 nominees and one of them is the associate member and has a larger share of the flat, how does the society proceed with regard to the transfer of flat? What if there is a will after the date of the nomination and a dying statement after the date of the will.... which holds legal validity?
