resignation from a post of committee member

04 September 2015 ravi, rakhisociety@gmail.com

Dear Sir,

Can i resign from the committee member position on true reasons without having to prove anything or legal problems of maanhani or any such legal problems?
Will my resignation be accepted or holded and force to change statement?

Issue: The chairman of the society runs the society as : "self decisions- run by only one person". All important decisions including financial decisions are never discussed in meetings and consulted/ taken consent from committee members. If questioned or go against, we are threatned.

My resignation words would be "I wish to resign form the post of committee member due to the manner in which the society is functioning. I have my concerns and apprehensions for the same and am unsatisfied with its mod-us operandi. Thereby, I wish to withdraw my support . Kindly accept the same"

Kindly suggest. or help me with proper words so that i can be safe. mailing you the details of the case for better understanding
Thanking you in advance

I am a member of the Managing Committee of a Co-operative Housing Society in Mumbai. I resigned on July 7th (frankly I was mislead). Later on I realised my mistake and sent in my withdrawal of my resignation on July 28th. My resignation has not been accepted by the Chairman as on date (to whom I had addressed my resignation at the behest of the Secretary citing the provision of Society Bye-laws.) Will the Chairman accept my withdrawal or can he refuse it and accept my resignation? Does he have the power? There is a Managing Committee meeting planned to held on July 31
