Interest on One time repair charges
In my co-operative society, the committee did a work to cover the passage on the terrace. This was done without calling out the tenders. The work was given to one of the know fabricators to the Chairman. I had raised a concern on this & didn't pay the charges. Now committee has started showing it as outstanding maintenance & charging 21% interest on this. I did lots of communication, written as well as verbal, but of no use. I registered a complaint with registrar as well. Can you help me on the way forward on this. Also is committee doing correct thing as per law for charging 21% interest.
