I understand from below article that maintenance charges in a society have to be same for all flats in a society. However, our society committee is saying that based on society bye laws, maintenance charges can be different for 2 bhk vs 3bhk based on number of water inlets in the flat. I assume court ruling is above bye laws that our society committee is referring to. So, is it legally correct for society to charge different amount from different flats and can we challenge their decision in the court?
